A clean kitchen tear-out, ready for your installer

A kitchen renovation starts with clearing the room completely. We remove upper and lower cabinets, countertops including stone, the backsplash, appliances you are not keeping, flooring, and drywall or plaster as far as your plan goes. Your plumber and electrician cap off the lines first, then we work around them carefully.

We seal the kitchen from the rest of the house with dust walls and protect the path to the door. Metal from appliances, ducting and sinks is sorted for scrap. The rest goes into the bin, and the room is swept and ready for framing or rough-ins.

Planning your kitchen demolition

Book the demolition after your cabinet order is confirmed, so the kitchen is not out of service longer than it needs to be. Clear the cupboards and pantry, and let us know about any cabinets or appliances you want to donate or reuse. We remove them carefully and set them aside.

If you are opening a wall into the dining room as part of the project, we handle that in the same visit once the shoring is in place.

Most kitchens are cleared in one to two days. Larger kitchens with stone counters, tile floors or plaster walls can take a little longer.

Yes. Stone counters are heavy, so we cut and lift them out in sections and protect the floors on the way to the bin.

Your licensed plumber, electrician or gas fitter should cap the lines before we start. We work around them carefully once they are safe.

Yes. Let us know on the walk-through and we remove them whole where possible, ready to donate or reuse.
